About
The short version: I fix IT problems without the jargon, and I don't consider a job done until it's actually working.
Over five years in IT, I've moved from general helpdesk support into more specialised networking and infrastructure work — but the core of the job hasn't changed: understand what's actually going wrong, fix it properly, and explain it in plain terms rather than technical shorthand. Whether that's a Cisco switch dropping connections, a cluttered server room, or a business trying to move to the cloud for the first time, the approach is the same.
I like getting things properly documented and cabled tidily — not just working, but easy for the next person to understand too. That attention to detail carries through everything from network diagrams to camera placement on a CCTV install.
You shouldn't need to be technical to understand what went wrong and what I did about it.
Tidy cabling, clear labelling, and documentation — not just a quick fix that works until it doesn't.
If something needs monitoring after the fact, it gets monitored — not forgotten about.
